TabSchool Inc. created this Privacy Policy to give you an understanding of what information we collect, how it is used, and to help protect your information. We are committed to providing exceptional service in a secure environment. We only collect information from You that is necessary to provide our Products.


INFORMATION WE COLLECT

At TabSchool, we’re constantly looking for ways to improve our offerings and develop new features that our users find valuable. In order to do so, we collect information to help us make TabSchool better. As a visitor to our site, you are not required to provide us with any personally identifiable information. However, we do utilize third party web analytics to look at trends and to help us improve our products.


As a user of our products, you maybe be required to provide us with personally identifiable information. We are the sole owners of any information collected on this site, and do not share this information with others unless it is explicitly necessary to provide our products to You. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us during sign up, or that is passed through our platform as part of the user experience. We use the information we receive in a variety of ways, including to maintain our products; to customize our service to meet your needs; to verify your identity and prevent fraud; to provide customer support; and to contact you.


Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about new products and other information we believe you’d find valuable.


TabSchool does not sell or rent Personal Data to marketers or unaffiliated third parties. We only share your Personal Data with trusted entities, subject to our privacy practices, which enables us to provide our products, and optimize our product experience to You.


WHEN TABSCHOOL SHARES INFORMATION

Our policy is to maintain the confidentiality of the personally identifiable information of individuals except in cases when the law requires disclosure or when we have your permission to do so. Occasionally, we may share aggregated statistics of user behavior (e.g. usage patterns, donation trends, user growth, etc.) with our partners and other interested parties. This information will never identify any individual personally or contain any personally identifiable information.


TabSchool does not sell, lease, share, rent, or otherwise provide any personally identifiable information for marketing purposes to any companies or persons outside of TabSchool. We may provide your personally identifiable information to service providers and affiliates that provide products in conjunction with our offerings, such as parties assisting in improving TabSchool. Information is securely transmitted to these affiliates, and such affiliates will only receive information necessary to provide their respective products and will be bound by confidentiality agreements limiting the use of such information. Please be aware that any personal information that you voluntarily choose to display in any public location through the use of our platform becomes publicly available and may be collected and used by others.


TabSchool will only disclose personally identifiable information to government officials and law enforcement agencies when it is required by law (e.g. in compliance with a subpoena or court order) or if we believe in good faith that such action is appropriate and necessary to protect and defend the rights of TabSchool, or to protect the safety of TabSchool users, employees, affiliates, and the general public.


In the event that TabSchool or some or all assets related to our products are acquired by or merged with a third party entity, we reserve the right to transfer or assign any information we have collected from users as part of that merger, acquisition, sale, or other change of control.

THIRD-PARTY PROVIDERS AND DO NOT TRACK

TabSchool may use third-party Web analytics services on our site to analyze how people use TabSchool. Information collected by such technologies will be disclosed to or collected by these services providers, who use this information to evaluate your use of TabSchool. You may choose to opt out of their services if you do not wish to have your information collected by them.


TELEPHONE RECORDINGS

By using our products you agree that TabSchool shall have access to any and all call recordings, digital or otherwise, recorded by your company, an agent of your company, or any customer service professional employed by your company when utilizing the services provided by TabSchool. You agree to provide said recordings to TabSchool upon request, within 48 hours of receipt of such a request.


DATA SECURITY

TabSchool utilizes certain security measures to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of information under our control. We use secure technology, privacy protection controls, and restrictions on employee access in order to safeguard your information. While we take precautions to protect sensitive information that’s transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job, such as billing or customer service, are granted access to personally identifiable information.

Please note that while we continually make every effort to implement safeguards to protect your personal information, the very nature of the Internet makes it impossible to guarantee the security of transmitted data. TabSchool makes no warranties or representations as to the security and confidentiality of any data you transmit. Any data you transmit to TabSchool is at your own risk, and we cannot guarantee that information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by any breach of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards.


We make reasonable efforts to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk associated with the processing of Personal Data. We maintain certain measures designed to protect Personal Data within our organization against unauthorized access, destruction, loss, alteration or misuse. Your Personal Data is only accessible to a limited number of personnel who need access to the information to perform their duties. Unfortunately, no data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. TYPES OF USERS

TabSchool operates as both an online portal and as a non-profit service provider of pre-loaded tablets for students in schools. The online portal is intended for use by Educators and Content Providers. Users of the online portal must be 18 years of age or older.


Educators:

If you are an educator, teacher, or other individual or entity using TabSchool in connection with a class or school activity, you may be asked, but not required to provide certain limited personal information. All information collected, will be used in accordance with this privacy policy and the terms of use. All parties using TabSchool in the capacity of a teacher or educator, or on the online platform, must be 18 years of age or older.


Content Providers:

If you are a content provider or contributor, you may be asked, but not required, to provide certain limited personal information. In limited circumstances, you may be required to provide personal information in connection with the execution of a license agreement, if and only if you elect to utilize or derive content from licensed material. All information collected, will be used in accordance with this privacy policy and the terms of use. All parties using TabSchool in the capacity of a content provider or contributor, or in connection with the online platform, must be 18 years of age or older.


Student/Pupil:

If you are a student or pupil (or otherwise under the age of 18) using a preloaded tablet provided by or in connection with TabSchool’s services, a parent or guardian must approve your use of the same. Unless specifically approved by a legal guardian in writing, no personal information whatsoever will be collected by TabSchool in relation to children under the age 18. Student users may link their account to an Educator Account, subject to the approval of the Educator. Each Student (and guardian if applicable) may have his/her own login, however no personal information or identifying information may be included in the username or login. Notwithstanding the above, non-personal performance data, metrics, and other information relating to the minors’ use of the TabSchool services and products will be collected and used to enhance the performance of TabSchool and its product.


PRIVACY OF CHILDREN

If you are under the age of 18, no personal information will be collected, and measures will be taken to ensure that no personal information or identifying information is collected from you. If TabSchool learns that personal information of persons under 18 years of age has been collected, we will take appropriate steps to delete this information. If you are a parent of a minor under 18 who has been using TabSchool, and you believe personal information has been supplied to, used by or collected by TabSchool, please contact us at support@tabshool.com so that we may remove and delete such information.


APPLICATION OF PRIVACY POLICY

For users visiting TabSchool from the European Economic Area or other non-US territories, please note that any data that passes through TabSchool will be transferred outside the European Economic Area or those other non-US territories for use by TabSchool and our affiliates for the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. By providing data to TabSchool, you hereby expressly consent to such transfers of your data to the United States or other countries, except in the case of data transfers from the European Economic Area or Switzerland, which are covered under our EU-US and Swiss-US Safe Harbor Certifications detailed below. For users from outside the US, Switzerland, or the European Economic Area, please note that the laws in the US may not provide the same level of information protection as the laws of the user’s country of residence.

TabSchool also adheres to the Safe Harbor Privacy Principles of notice, choice, onward transfer, security, data integrity, access, and enforcement. In compliance with such policies, TabSchool is committed to addressing and resolving any complaints about your privacy and our collection or use of your personal information. HOW TabSchool USES COOKIES

Like many other sites on the Internet, TabSchool uses cookies‒small text files containing a string of alphanumeric characters. TabSchool uses cookies and collects IP addresses and other automatically collected information in order to better facilitate the services provided to you, and to collect non-personal aggregate data for marketing and research purposes. If you accept the cookies used on our site, we may be able to identify your system by reading the cookie stored on your system, but we will not be able to identify you unless you’ve entered your personal information.


CHANGES TO PRIVACY POLICY

We reserve the right to change, modify, add, or remove portions of this Privacy Policy at any time. You should review this Privacy Policy frequently. If we make significant changes to this policy, we may notify you through a blog post, by email, or by any method we determine at our discretion. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

You have choices regarding our use and disclosure of your Personal Data:

 

a. Opting out of receiving electronic communications from us. If you no longer want to receive marketing-related emails from us, you may opt-out via the unsubscribe link included in such emails. We will try to comply with your request(s) as soon as reasonably practicable. Please note that if you opt-out of receiving marketing-related emails from us, we may still send you important administrative messages that are required to provide you with our products.

 

b. How you can see or change your account Personal Data. If You would like to review, correct, or update Personal Data that You have previously disclosed to us, You may do so by signing in to your TabSchool account or by contacting us at support@TabSchool.com.

 

c. Your data protection rights. Depending on your location and subject to applicable law, you may have the following rights with regard to the Personal Data we control about you

 
  • The right to request confirmation of whether TabSchool processes Personal Data relating to you, and if so, to request a copy of that Personal Data;

  • The right to request that TabSchool rectifies or updates your Personal Data that is inaccurate, incomplete or outdated;

  • The right to request that TabSchool erase your Personal Data in certain circumstances provided by law;

  • The right to request that TabSchool restrict the use of your Personal Data in certain circumstances, such as while TabSchool considers another request that you have submitted (including a request that the payment processor make an update to your Personal Data); and

  • The right to request that we export to another company, where technically feasible, your Personal Data that we hold in order to provide Products to you.

Where the processing of your Personal Data is based on your previously given consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You may also have the right to object to the processing of your Personal Data on grounds relating to your particular situation.

 

d. Process for exercising data protection rights. In order to exercise your data protection rights, you may contact TabSchool at support@TabSchool.com. We take each request seriously. We will comply with your request to the extent required by applicable law. We will not be able to respond to a request if we no longer hold your Personal Data. If you feel that you have not received a satisfactory response from us, you may consult with the data protection authority in your country.

For your protection, we may need to verify your identity before responding to your request, such as verifying information you provide matches what we have on file. If we no longer need to process Personal Data about you in order to provide our Products or our Sites, we will not maintain, acquire or process additional information in order to identify you for the purpose of responding to your request.
